The Childrens Safe Products Act would require manufacturers and toy importers to publish which hazardous toxic chemicals they use in children's products that are on the market in Michigan. The information would be published on a website, allowing parents to determine which products are safe before purchasing toys and other products that children use.  Research by HealthyToys.org found that "more than 1/3 of over 1500 toys tested in Michigan in 2008 contained significant levels of chemicals of concern."
