Phase out toxic flame retardants

This bill will ban the use of toxic flame retardants still used in some consumer products, including mattresses, residential furniture, televisions, and computers. The bill promotes the use of safer flame retardants and bans the use of chemicals that fall under the umbrella of toxic deca-BDE.

3/25/09 - referred to House Committee on Great Lakes and Environment.
