“The
tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of
others only a green thing which stands in the way. Some
see nature as all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce
see nature at all.”
William Blake wrote this in 1799. Over
two hundred years later, many people are still having problems
recognizing and understanding the value of nature, of a clean
and healthy environment. Sadly, many of these environmentally
nescient individuals are your elected officials.
So what can you do about it? Contact
your representatives with your concerns, educate them about
the issues that are important to you, and demand your due
representation!
