Be a Solution to Stop Pollution

The Sierra Club organizes the Green Cruise to celebrate alternative forms of transportation that do not burn fossil fuels.

All events take place in Ferndale at the Green Alley
located just west of Woodward Ave. at 9 Mile & Planavon St.
The following list is from last year's event. This year we plan on doing even more, check back for up-dates.

Ride
8am • 22 mile Progressive ride
Starting at the Green Alley in downtown Ferndale.
Stopping to pickup riders in: Huntington Woods, Southfield, Beverly Hills, Birmingham and two stops in Royal Oak.
Helmets and signed waivers are required.

9am • 5 mile family ride

Start/Finish at the Green Alley, helmets and signed waivers
are required, riders must obey all traffic laws,riders under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please download, print, sign and bring the waiver to the ride. Link on right.

Celebrate
11am • ½ mile Parade to celebrate green forms of transit • Dress Up in Costumes • Decorate Your Bike
• Be Creative • Have Fun!

Gather in the green alley at 10:30 to be in the parade

Climb
11:30am — 2:30pm • Test your skills on the 25’ Rock Climbing Tower

Create
11am — 3pm • Arts and Scraps • Face Painting 
• Sidewalk Chalk • Plus More!

Learn
10am — 3pm • Help Save the Planet in the Green Alley

Rejuvenate
10am — 3pm • Food, Refreshments and Massages

Grind
12pm — 3pm • Watch Skateboarders from Modern Skate perform demos and tricks

Tune-up
10am — 3pm • Get a Free Bicycle Check-Up
from REI or Continental Bike Shop

Rock-On
10am — 3pm • Enjoy FM 93.9 The River’s live broadcast

Corral
10am — 3pm • Store your bike in our secure area

Wear Green, Dress Up in Costumes,
Decorate Your Bike, Be Creative!

Sierra Club organizes the Green Cruise to celebrate alternative forms of transportation that do not burn fossil fuels by celebrating the people that use these alternatives—walkers, bikers, canoers, runners, rollerbladers, hikers, swimmers, etc.
