The Nepessing Group of Michigan represents Sierra Club members in Genesee, Lapeer and northern Oakland Counties. Our
members are active in various grassroots campaigns to protect and preserve the
environment, as well as regional activities such as Lapeer
Days and Earth Day. Our
weekly outings program is one of the most dynamic in the state. Come

Our MissionThe Sierra Club's Statement of Purpose is: To explore, enjoy and protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives.
MeetingsThe Nepessing Group membership meeting is held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of Feb, Apr, Sept & Nov at Mott Community College, E. Court St, Flint, Michigan. Meetings are held in the Genesee room of the Prahl Center (New Student Building). Meetings begin at 7 pm with committee reports, followed by a program with an environmental theme. Light snacks are provided. The public is always welcome! The Executive Committee (EXCOM) business meeting starts at 6 pm, also on the 2nd Wednesday preceding the General Membership meeting at Mott Community College. All interested people are invited to attend.
