Washtenaw Inspiring Connections Outdoors
Volunteer or Donate

The success of the Inspiring Connections Outdoors programs across the nation can be attributed mostly to volunteers who generously donate their time and effort to work with youth groups. Without them, providing enjoyable outdoor experiences to people who normally would not have access to these programs would be nearly impossible.

The Washtenaw ICO currently needs volunteers to become trained leaders, to assist on outings, and to help out behind the scenes with leader training, fundraising, record keeping, outreach, etc.

Please visit our photo album to see how much fun we're having or our meetings and trips page to learn about future trips and monthly meetings. Past events are listed here.

We want you! To join us, please email Barbara Powell at washtenawico@yahoo.com.

Washtenaw ICO is always looking for good-condition day-packs, back packs, tents, sleeping bags, child-size outdoor clothing and boots, and other equipment. We would consider accepting any outdoor adventure equipment donations but we need people with time, energy, and imagination more than we need equipment!

Please write our Equipment Manager, Cecelia Trudeau at washtenawico@yahoo.com if you have equipment that you wish to donate.

We are always happy to receive donations which help pay for equipment rental, admission fees, transportation and other outing costs.

Checks can be made out to:

All donations are tax-deductible and donors will receive a letter of receipt for their record.
