First, make sure you register to vote:

• Check if I am registered to vote, and see when, where and how I vote.
• Register by mail:  I moved within Michigan.
• Register by mail:  First-time voter.
• Register by mail:  (if above does not help, click here and boxes on left and links on right).
• Register at my local city or township hall > find your clerk;  or here.
• Register at my local Secretary of State office > Office Locator.
• Request an Absentee Ballot.
• For even-year general elections (so far), a sample ballot--print, mark up at home, and cast your ballot quickly and accurately!

Then vote informed!  Many elections are won or lost by less than one or two percentage points;  some by only a few tens or hundred votes.  It happens every year right here in Michigan.  Our group has over 1,300 members, our state chapter has over 15,000 members, and many of us are registered to vote.  When we vote, we do make a difference.  Help us make Michigan greener by voting green.

Political Committee

The Political Committee is currently acting as individuals.  If you would like to become involved in a group activity, please contact our Political Chair.  For issues on which we are active, please refer to our Conservation page.

In a future election, we would like to again survey candidates running for the Livingston County Commission, Township Supervisors and City Council for their stands on local issues.  In the meantime, please refer to our list of governments, and do something about Land Use Planning.
